<p>While restaurateurs battle for the coveted stars, for hoteliers it’s all about the Michelin keys. Yep, in case you haven’t heard,&nbsp;<a href="https://guide.michelin.com/gb/en/article/travel/all-the-michelin-key-hotels-in-the-uk-ireland" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Michelin</a>&nbsp;have just introduced a brand new ranking system for the world’s most outstanding stays, dishing out keys to only the very best of the best. It’s so rare and coveted in fact, only a mere 14 hotels in the UK and Ireland are considered three key standard.</p>



<p>In Surrey we&#8217;re sitting pretty. One hotel was awarded two keys, and three hotels that sit right on our border each gained two keys, while another nabbed one key. Read on to find out who swooped the silverware, and what hotel hotties to pop on your bucket list, stat.</p>

<p>Nestled in the Surrey Hills, between Leatherhead and Dorking is the former home of press baron&nbsp;Max Aitken, aka Lord Beaverbrook – now a luxury country house hotel and luxury spa. It’s set on 470 acres of private countryside and, and as well as the Coach House Health Club and Spa&nbsp;there are two restaurants, a cookery school, 35 boutique bedrooms and a host of other activities including clay pigeon shooting, tennis, croquet and cycling.</p>

Gravetye’s raked in fistfuls of awards, including AA Hotel of the Year, and its Michelin-starred restaurant was voted one of the top 10 in the entire UK by TripAdvisor users this year. <p>A smidge over the Berkshire border, this celeb party palace needs no introduction. Awarded two keys, Heckfield boasts interiors to die for, 438 acres of paradise, a stunning spa, and swanky green Michelin star restaurant, Marle.</p>

<p>The Four Seasons is synonymous with luxury and for good reason. The red-brick Georgian Manor House sits pretty in 500 acres of Hampshire countryside. There are first-class facilities including a spa, indoor and outdoor pool as well as a fine-dining restaurant, stables and a children’s play park and splash pool.</p>
