<p>For four seasons, Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Abby Elliott – with scene-stealing appearances from Jamie Lee Curtis and Jon Bernthal – have kept us hooked and rooting for&nbsp;<em><strong>The Bear</strong></em>. And now&nbsp;<em>sobs</em>, the fifth and final season is here. Picking up after Carmy’s shock decision to step away from the restaurant biz and hand more responsibility to Sydney (Edebiri), the team faces its biggest challenge yet. With money running out, closure looming and a brutal storm heading their way, they’ll need to pull together for one final service. Expect tears, tension and a whole lot of kitchen-induced anxiety along the way *dabs brow*.</p>

<p>As if Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint and Rhys Ifans weren’t reason enough to tune in, James Norton is joining the&nbsp;<em><strong>House of the Dragon</strong></em>&nbsp;cast this season. Set 200 years before the events of&nbsp;<em>Game of Thrones</em>, details of what’s to come are being kept firmly under lock and key, but if previous seasons are anything to go by, expect shifting alliances, brutal betrayals, epic battles and plenty of dragon-fuelled drama. Oh, and probably a few steamy scenes thrown in for good measure.</p>

<p>A lost manuscript. The mafia. Medieval Italy. Oscar Isaac. Jason Momoa. Al Pacino. If that sounds like several different films mashed into one, that’s because&nbsp;<em><strong>In the Hand of Dante</strong></em>&nbsp;is exactly that kind of proposition. Based on the cult novel of the same name, it jumps between modern-day New York and 14th-century Italy in a story about art, obsession and Dante’s&nbsp;<em>Divine Comedy</em>. Early reactions have been decidedly mixed,&nbsp;<em>but&nbsp;</em>with a cast this outrageously starry (Gal Gadot, Gerard Butler, Martin Scorsese, John Malkovich also star), we’re willing to see where the madness takes us.</p>

<p>For something a little less highbrow,&nbsp;<em><strong>Little Brother</strong></em>&nbsp;looks set to deliver exactly the sort of chaotic comedy its title promises. John Cena stars as a successful estate agent whose perfectly polished life is thrown into disarray when his eccentric younger brother, played by Eric André, suddenly reappears and proceeds to wreak havoc on just about everything. With Michelle Monaghan also on board, this sibling comedy leans heavily into the age-old truth that family know exactly which buttons to press because they’re the ones who installed them. Expect mayhem, mishaps and plenty of laughs.</p>

<p>It’s&nbsp;<em>Taskmaster</em>&nbsp;meets the perennial playground debate&nbsp;<em>Would You Rather?</em>&nbsp;in Romesh Ranganathan’s latest game show, which sees internet stars including Nella Rose and Chunkz forced to tackle absurd hypothetical dilemmas in real life. We’re talking: would you rather be invisible or be able to fly? Fight one giant duck or 1,000 tiny ducks? Eat a man-sized bean or a bean-sized man? Frankly, we’d rather leave those decisions to them, but it’s exactly this kind of wonderfully bizarre nonsense that makes for great telly.</p>

<p>Madonna doesn’t do many interviews these days, which is exactly why this feels like kind of a big deal. Filmed at London’s iconic Koko, Graham Norton sits down with the Queen of Pop for a rare, wide-ranging chat covering everything from her early days in New York to her long-standing love affair with the UK and that Coachella performance everyone was talking about. With a new album,&nbsp;<em>Confessions II</em>, on the way, she also teases the music, stories and collaborations (we’ve also seen the too many cameos to count new music video) behind it, alongside long-time producer Stuart Price. In short: pop royalty, in conversation, and very much unmissable TV.</p>

<p>Larry David returning to television was always going to be an event. The fact he’s chosen to mark America’s 250th anniversary with a historical sketch comedy – backed by the Obamas’ Higher Ground Productions – feels, frankly, exactly on brand. Part ensemble comedy, part anarchic rewrite of American history, the series sees David doing what he does best: turning social etiquette, ego and everyday chaos into something gloriously uncomfortable, with plenty of unfiltered one-liners along the way.&nbsp;<em>Curb Your Enthusiasm</em>&nbsp;fans will not be disappointed.</p>

<p>There’s a very particular comfort to a Harlan Coben adaptation: you always know you’re in for a spiralling conspiracy and at least three moments where you say “hang on, what?”.<strong><em>&nbsp;I Will Find You&nbsp;</em></strong>delivers all of the above in familiar, twisty fashion. Sam Worthington plays David Burroughs, a man serving life for a crime he swears he didn’t commit – the murder of his son. Just as the story seems firmly locked in tragedy, a new piece of evidence emerges that turns everything on its head. What follows is a high-stakes escape and a cross-country search for answers, as David risks everything to uncover the truth. In other words: classic Coben.</p>

<p>Just when you thought you’d exhausted the supply of brooding crime dramas set in windswept Celtic landscapes, along comes&nbsp;<em><strong>The Light in the Hall: Still Waters</strong></em>. Returning to the fictional Welsh village of Llanemlyn, this new chapter swaps murder boards and flashy detectives for something altogether more unsettling: old grudges, buried secrets and a community bracing for upheaval. Aspiring journalist Caryl (Siân Reese-Williams) smells a story when a troubled ex-prisoner arrives back in town, just as plans emerge to flood the valley with a controversial new reservoir. Cue simmering tensions, suspicious locals and enough atmospheric Welsh gloom to make you want to wrap up in a blanket and cancel your evening plans.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="91141216-3765-4780-a1d6-8b66624c775f"><em>The Traitors US</em>, BBC3, Thu 18 Jun</h2>



<p>Missing Claudia? Consider this your stopgap. While we wait for the UK celebrity edition to land later this summer,&nbsp;<em><strong>The Traitors US</strong></em>&nbsp;is back at Ardross Castle, with Alan Cumming dialling the camp up to 11 as he shepherds a fresh batch of reality stars through the usual cocktail of paranoia, betrayal and wildly misplaced confidence. Among the familiar faces is former&nbsp;<em>Love Island</em>&nbsp;favourite Maura Higgins, proving once again that no reality TV universe is too small to contain her.</p>

<p>We’ll admit it:&nbsp;<em>Sugar</em>&nbsp;starts out looking like fairly bog standard LA noir. Colin Farrell, trench coat energy, missing persons case, a detective with emotional baggage heavier than his luggage allowance. You know the drill. And then it absolutely does not stay standard. Season one’s left-field twist changed everything, reframing Farrell’s private eye as something far stranger and more isolated than he first appeared. Season two picks up in that same off-kilter space as he lands a new case in Koreatown, this time involving a missing woman, a troubled family and a citywide web that’s a lot darker than it first seems. It’s still noir, just not as we know it.</p>

<p>If you’re a sucker for a romance with a slightly ridiculous premise (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?), add this one to your watchlist immediately. Zoey Deutch stars as Jill, who is still processing the loss of her sister Isabelle by leaving regular voicemails on her old number. The only problem? The number has been reassigned to Wes, a handsome real estate agent played by Nick Robinson, who finds himself becoming increasingly invested in the voice on the other end. Part rom-com, part tearjerker,&nbsp;<strong><em>Voicemails for Isabelle</em>&nbsp;</strong>also gets bonus points for the soundtrack, with an original score from Este Haim and Amanda Yamate.</p>

<p id="8a74d8f7-8d55-4c5f-b17d-9cad87600f78">Northern Ireland’s most gloriously hapless trio are back, and Ballymacnoose remains every bit as eccentric as you remember. This series finds Callum embracing life as a historical re-enactor, complete with a make-believe peasant family and questionable career prospects. Into this already chaotic mix strides Steve Coogan as a washed-up actor who takes his aristocratic role rather too seriously, turning a quaint heritage attraction into something closer to a hostage situation. Packed with deadpan absurdity, small-town squabbles and the kind of oddball charm that sneaks up on you,<strong> <em>Funboys</em> </strong>continues to be one of the funniest comedies you’re probably not watching.</p>
