<p>There’s a very particular comfort to a Harlan Coben adaptation: you always know you’re in for a spiralling conspiracy and at least three moments where you say “hang on, what?”.<strong><em>&nbsp;I Will Find You&nbsp;</em></strong>delivers all of the above in familiar, twisty fashion. Sam Worthington plays David Burroughs, a man serving life for a crime he swears he didn’t commit – the murder of his son. Just as the story seems firmly locked in tragedy, a new piece of evidence emerges that turns everything on its head. What follows is a high-stakes escape and a cross-country search for answers, as David risks everything to uncover the truth. In other words: classic Coben.</p>

<p>Just when you thought you’d exhausted the supply of brooding crime dramas set in windswept Celtic landscapes, along comes&nbsp;<em><strong>The Light in the Hall: Still Waters</strong></em>. Returning to the fictional Welsh village of Llanemlyn, this new chapter swaps murder boards and flashy detectives for something altogether more unsettling: old grudges, buried secrets and a community bracing for upheaval. Aspiring journalist Caryl (Siân Reese-Williams) smells a story when a troubled ex-prisoner arrives back in town, just as plans emerge to flood the valley with a controversial new reservoir. Cue simmering tensions, suspicious locals and enough atmospheric Welsh gloom to make you want to wrap up in a blanket and cancel your evening plans.</p>

<p>Missing Claudia? Consider this your stopgap. While we wait for the UK celebrity edition to land later this summer,&nbsp;<em><strong>The Traitors US</strong></em>&nbsp;is back at Ardross Castle, with Alan Cumming dialling the camp up to 11 as he shepherds a fresh batch of reality stars through the usual cocktail of paranoia, betrayal and wildly misplaced confidence. Among the familiar faces is former&nbsp;<em>Love Island</em>&nbsp;favourite Maura Higgins, proving once again that no reality TV universe is too small to contain her.</p>

<p>We’ll admit it:&nbsp;<em>Sugar</em>&nbsp;starts out looking like fairly bog standard LA noir. Colin Farrell, trench coat energy, missing persons case, a detective with emotional baggage heavier than his luggage allowance. You know the drill. And then it absolutely does not stay standard. Season one’s left-field twist changed everything, reframing Farrell’s private eye as something far stranger and more isolated than he first appeared. Season two picks up in that same off-kilter space as he lands a new case in Koreatown, this time involving a missing woman, a troubled family and a citywide web that’s a lot darker than it first seems. It’s still noir, just not as we know it.</p>

<p>If you’re a sucker for a romance with a slightly ridiculous premise (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?), add this one to your watchlist immediately. Zoey Deutch stars as Jill, who is still processing the loss of her sister Isabelle by leaving regular voicemails on her old number. The only problem? The number has been reassigned to Wes, a handsome real estate agent played by Nick Robinson, who finds himself becoming increasingly invested in the voice on the other end. Part rom-com, part tearjerker,&nbsp;<strong><em>Voicemails for Isabelle</em>&nbsp;</strong>also gets bonus points for the soundtrack, with an original score from Este Haim and Amanda Yamate.</p>

<p id="8a74d8f7-8d55-4c5f-b17d-9cad87600f78">Northern Ireland’s most gloriously hapless trio are back, and Ballymacnoose remains every bit as eccentric as you remember. This series finds Callum embracing life as a historical re-enactor, complete with a make-believe peasant family and questionable career prospects. Into this already chaotic mix strides Steve Coogan as a washed-up actor who takes his aristocratic role rather too seriously, turning a quaint heritage attraction into something closer to a hostage situation. Packed with deadpan absurdity, small-town squabbles and the kind of oddball charm that sneaks up on you,<strong>&nbsp;<em>Funboys</em>&nbsp;</strong>continues to be one of the funniest comedies you’re probably not watching.</p>

<p>Forget rom-coms, we’re here for the&nbsp;<em>wrong-com</em>. The term coined for&nbsp;<strong><em>Alice and Steve</em></strong>, this dark, funny, cringe-worthy comedy is exactly the sort of chaotic television we need to kick-start the week. Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement are brilliant as platonic besties Alice and Steve, whose decades-long friendship spectacularly implodes when Steve sleeps with Alice’s daughter, Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith), who just happens to be about 25 years younger than him. Yikes. What follows is death threats, jealously, some very awkward family events and enough second-hand embarrassment to have you watching through your fingers. Bring it on!</p>

<p>Where are the&nbsp;<em>Doc Martin</em>&nbsp;fans? Everyone’s favourite socially abrupt surgeon has a new stateside spin-off, with&nbsp;<em>The Good Wife</em>‘s Josh Charles stepping into Martin Clunes’ very sensible shoes. For those who don’t know the story, the series follows brilliant surgeon Martin Best, who swaps a high-flying city career for life as a small-town GP in the place where he spent childhood summers. Sadly for the locals, his medical expertise is matched only by his complete lack of people skills, (and aversion to blood). An amusing and wholesome watch.</p>
