<p>When Zendaya and Robert Pattinson were announced as the almost-married couple in Kristoffer Borgli’s dark, deliciously awkward comedy,&nbsp;<strong><em>The Drama</em></strong>, we were always RSVP-ing&nbsp;<em>yes</em>. It follows Emma and Charlie as their relationship starts to unravel just days before the big day, sparked by one very unsettling confession. Expect tension, toe-curling moments and plenty of emotional side-eye – with Pattinson as quite possibly the jitteriest groom you’ve ever seen – while Alana Haim and Mamoudou Athie help ground the chaos.</p>

<p>Explosions, evacuations and a very cheeky heist –<strong>&nbsp;<em>FUZE</em>&nbsp;</strong>is your classic high-stakes thriller with a clever twist. When an unexploded WWII bomb is discovered in central London, the city goes into lockdown as experts (led by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) race against time to defuse it. But amid the chaos? Opportunity. Enter Theo James and co, a slick criminal crew using the unfolding panic as cover for an audacious jewel heist. Fast-paced, tense and packed with a seriously cracking cast – Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sam Worthington and Saffron Hocking included – it’s part disaster movie, part crime caper, and&nbsp;<em>all</em>&nbsp;very watchable.</p>

<p>Need something to keep the kids entertained over the holidays? Cue&nbsp;<strong><em>The Super Mario Galaxy Movie</em></strong>, back for another high-energy adventure after its box office record-breaking debut back in 2023. With a starry roll call of voice talent – hello Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Donald Glover and Brie Larson – plus bold visuals and plenty of nostalgic nods for grown-ups, it’s fast, fun and pretty much guaranteed to keep everyone happy for an hour or two.</p>

<p>Fancy a bit of Italian escapism?&nbsp;<strong><em>You, Me &amp; Tuscany</em></strong>&nbsp;serves up sun-soaked romance with a side of cringey chaos, as Halle Bailey’s impulsive young chef Anna swaps real life, for a crumbling Tuscan villa she definitely doesn’t own, and definitely shouldn’t be squatting in! What starts as a questionable life choice quickly spirals into a sham engagement, a handsome distraction (hello Regé-Jean Page) and plenty of will-they-won’t-they tension. Pure, unadulterated rom-com escapism.</p>

<p>Politics might not be everyone’s idea of a night out, but with Jude Law involved, we’re definitely listening.&nbsp;<strong><em>The Wizard of the Kremlin</em></strong>&nbsp;dives into the murky rise of modern Russia, following a young filmmaker who becomes an unlikely advisor to Vladimir Putin (played by an almost unrecognisable Law) – and finds himself pulled deep into the inner workings of power. Adapted from Giuliano da Empoli’s bestselling novel, with Paul Dano, Alicia Vikander and Jeffrey Wright rounding out a seriously strong cast. Dark, intelligent and surprisingly gripping.</p>

<p>Next we’re off to Scotland!&nbsp;<strong><em>Glenrothan&nbsp;</em></strong>delivers sweeping Highland landscapes, family tension, and a heartfelt story of forgiveness. Brian Cox makes his directorial debut and stars as Sandy, the whisky-distillery-running brother, opposite Alan Cumming’s Donal, who returns from Chicago after decades apart to try and mend their fractured relationship. Packed with emotion, gorgeous Scottish vistas, and a stellar supporting turn from Shirley Henderson. Don your tartan, grab a whiskey and enjoy.</p>

<p>Cinephiles, this one’s for you.&nbsp;<em><strong>Rose of Nevada</strong></em>&nbsp;from Cornish filmmaker, Mark Jenkin, is a haunting ghost story set in a windswept fishing village. Callum Turner and George MacKay join the crew of a mysteriously returned vessel – only to find themselves transported back to 1993, at the height of the local fishing boom. Mistaken for the original sailors, they must navigate a world both familiar and strange, where the past and present collide in eerie, cinematic style. Atmospheric, inventive if a bit unsettling, but we’ll take it for Turner!</p>

<p>After what feels like a lifetime of delays, Jaafar Jackson (son of Jermaine) is finally stepping into the legendary shoes of his Uncle Michael. The biopic charts the King of Pop’s journey from Jackson 5 beginnings and a difficult childhood, through&nbsp;<em>Thriller</em>, the purchase of Neverland, and up to his death in 2009. How much it tackles the controversies surrounding his life remains to be seen. Jaafar is joined by a starry supporting cast, including Nia Long, Colman Domingo, Miles Teller and Laura Harrier. If the success of the Broadway show is anything to go by, this one’s set to be a showstopper.</p>
