<p><strong>Back in flight: The Black Swan reopens</strong></p>

<p>Cobham’s much-loved pub and dining spot, <a href="https://www.blackswanockham.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Black Swan</a>, is getting a fresh new look this spring. After temporarily closing from 9 February for a full refurbishment, the beautifully refreshed venue reopens on 6 March.</p>



<p>The reopening will be celebrated with a stylish relaunch party open to the public from 6pm, complete with food and drinks tastings and live music. Inside and out, the refurbishment has given The Black Swan a fresh, inviting feel – perfect for relaxed dining, socialising or special occasions.</p>



<p>On 19 March, guests can tuck into a brand-new spring/summer menu, featuring lighter, seasonal dishes that showcase the months ahead. Add in a vibrant calendar of entertainment throughout the year, and Cobham’s favourite pub is ready to fluff its feathers and shine even brighter.</p>

<p>Big news from <a href="https://www.foxhills.co.uk/dine#dine-the-fox" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Foxhills Club &amp; Resort</a> – the Manor House is getting a serious glow-up. Following a £1.5 million investment into the late 18th-century building at the heart of the resort, a brand-new restaurant, Lomri, will open in April 2026 alongside a reimagined Manor Lounge and Bar. The idea? A space that feels special enough for a big celebration &#8211; but still relaxed enough for a spontaneous midweek supper.</p>



<p>Lomri (named after the Indian word for ‘fox’) promises an immersive culinary journey led by head chef Achal Aggarwal. Inspired by the historic trade routes linking India and Britain, the menu weaves together authentic Indian ingredients with Japanese culinary technique and contemporary British elegance. Expect layered, warming flavours and a confident balance of tradition and innovation.</p>



<p>Chef Achal brings serious pedigree, with international training in Tokyo and New York and senior roles with The Leela, Hyatt and Oberoi Hotels under his belt. Alongside the restaurant, the Manor Lounge and Bar will relaunch as a lively yet laid-back social hub. Think pre-dinner drinks, informal meetings and long, celebratory evenings. </p>

<p>There’s a new spot on Dorking’s High Street worth popping into. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/sweetwillow_dorking/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sweet Willow</a> has just opened, serving brunch, coffee, and treats with a Mediterranean twist.</p>



<p>It’s a brunch-and-coffee kind of place &#8211; but with a Mediterranean twist. On the menu you’ll find full English breakfasts and wraps alongside mezze plates &#8211; plus sweet and savoury waffles if you’re in the mood for something a little different.</p>



<p>It’s an easy stop for a midweek coffee &#8211; or a laid-back weekend brunch &#8211; and a fresh addition to Dorking’s High Street line-up.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-wild-brews-in-the-surrey-hills">Wild brews in the Surrey Hills</h2>



<p>Just opened in Norbury Park, in the heart of the Surrey Hills, <a href="https://www.wildaboutcoffee.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wild About Coffee</a> is your new woodland pitstop. Serving artisan barista coffee, teas and hot chocolate from a classic Land Rover Defender, this is less grab-and-go, more pause-and-breathe. Expect pastries and sweet treats delivered straight to the woodland floor – plus a fire pit for toasting crumpets and marshmallows while you linger beneath the trees.</p>



<p>Dog, horse and bike friendly, Wild About Coffee is already shaping up to be a proper community hub, complete with a dedicated kids’ craft area for little adventurers. Post-walk coffee plans = sorted.</p>

<p>Hot off the press in Redhill – <a href="https://www.cappadociaredhill.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cappadocia Restaurant</a> has just opened a new branch right opposite the station.</p>



<p>Already a firm favourite in Epsom and Kingston-upon-Thames, this latest outpost brings the same authentic Turkish cuisine to a big new space in the heart of town. Expect charcoal-grilled specials, colourful meze and that famously warm hospitality the Cappadocia team are known for. One for your next pre-train dinner &#8211; or a leisurely feast with friends.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-get-the-glow">Get the Glow</h2>



<p>Another new arrival for Dorking’s High Street – say hello to <a href="https://glowbeautyclinic.facesconsent.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Glow Beauty Clinic</a>, a luxury aesthetics and beauty space founded by local practitioner Ilana Freedman.</p>



<p>The new clinic offers a full menu of treatments &#8211; from skin rejuvenation and advanced facials to injectables, brows and lashes &#8211; all in a calm, welcoming setting designed to make a little self-maintenance feel properly indulgent.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-designer-shop-opens-in-reigate">Designer shop opens in Reigate</h2>

<p>A lovely bit of good-news retail for Reigate. Local designer and maker Emilia Hunt has opened the high street shop she’s long dreamed of, with support from the Surrey Economic Growth Fund.</p>



<p><a href="https://emiliahunt.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Curated by Emilia Hunt</a>, now open on Bell Street, showcases a thoughtful edit of handmade and bespoke pieces – many locally sourced – alongside Emilia’s own creations. It’s the kind of independent addition we love to see on the high street – personal, creative and rooted firmly in the local community.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-guildford-s-romantic-hidden-gem">Guildford&#8217;s romantic hidden gem</h2>



<p>Tucked away down one of Guildford’s quaint side streets, humble Italian eatery <a href="https://www.cambiomarcia.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cambio Marcia</a> might not shout about itself – but it’s just had a rather lovely nod. The rustic eatery on Swan Lane may be inexpensive but it’s just been named by OpenTable as one of the top romantic hotspots in the UK.&nbsp;Unassuming and refreshingly inexpensive, the osteria has long been a local favourite thanks to a menu rooted in cherished family recipes, with a particular focus on the flavours of Liguria in northern Italy. Proof, if ever we needed it, that you don’t need white tablecloths and eye-watering prices to set the mood.</p>

The business has previously picked up multiple accolades, including the Surrey Chamber People’s Choice Award.</p>

The vast, West End-worthy space is already shaping up to be the place to see and be seen in town. On the menu? Chargrilled fish and meats, vibrant Mediterranean plates and cocktails that are every bit as polished as the interiors. We&#8217;re loving this confident new addition to Oxted’s dining scene. It&#8217;s another reason the town’s foodie credentials are getting harder to ignore.</p>
