<p>Stop the presses, this is huge Surrey gossip. A little birdie tells us the actual Taylor Swift jetted 3,500 miles in secret for a new music video shoot… at a shopping centre in Croydon. Yes, you read that right. The 35-year-old superstar is said to have flown in from New Jersey by private jet in mid-November for the ultra-secret shoot.</p>



<p>The video allegedly features Lewis Capaldi and actor Domhnall Gleeson, with one of the most unexpected locations being the Whitgift Shopping Centre. A source said: “It was like a military operation—Taylor’s security team worked round the clock to keep her hidden.” Blimey!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-hollywood-comes-to-surrey">Hollywood comes to Surrey</h2>



<p>Film location favourite Bourne Woods near Farnham has been home to Hollywood hottie Lily-Rose Depp recently. The daughter of Johnny and his former partner Vanessa Paradis, was spotted filming scenes for her new thriller <em>Wewulf</em>. It&#8217;s directed by Robert Eggers, the genius behind her breakout role in <em>Nosferatu</em>. The film, set in medieval Britain, also stars Willem Dafoe and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Surrey scenery meets star power!  </p>

<p><a href="https://www.swanwalton.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Swan</a> in Walton-on-Thames has reopened following a top-to-toe refurbishment that brings new energy and new menus to this much-loved local, riverside pub . The makeover blends heritage with contemporary touches, from striking timber detailing and embossed leather seating to ornate glass. Outside, the terrace has new seating areas set within a landscaped garden of archways and plantings. There are also two heated garden huts. The food? Classic pub favourites, elevated with seasonal flair – comforting, delicious, and worth the trip.</p>



<p>After a three-week refresh, <a href="https://www.emberinns.co.uk/nationalsearch/southeast/the-woodman-ashtead#a" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Woodman</a>, in Ashtead has swung its doors back open in time for the festive season. Situated just off the M25 near Leatherhead, the neighbournood pub now offers a stylish yet cosy space drink and dine. Expect a refreshed bar, plush seating, an upgraded function room, dining area, and a welcoming beer garden – all designed to feel like your home away from home. Cheers to that!</p>

<p>Get ready, Surrey shoppers! Primark is set to open a massive 44,000 sq ft, two-floor store at Epsom’s Ashley Centre in spring 2026. The new store – right next to JD Sports and close to Next, M&amp;S, and Oliver Bonas – will stock women’s, men’s, and kids’ fashion, plus accessories and homeware. One of the most highly anticipated openings in town, it’s a fashion fan’s dream come true!</p>
